File a grievance
The online complaint form and complaint tracking are not open yet. Until they open, write to the Grievance Redressal Officer at grievance@zappmit.com with your name, how we can reach you, the order number if there is one, and what went wrong. The Officer reads every email. No reference number is issued yet, and Zappmit has not published a reply time.
A customer, merchant, rider or any other person can file a grievance. For a food-safety concern, say so in your message. You may also report it to the State Food Safety authority or through the Food Safety Connect channel of the Food Safety and Standards Authority of India.
You can also write to the Grievance Officer at grievance@zappmit.com. The form on the Contact page goes to Zappmit's general contact mailbox and is not the grievance process.
Reference and tracking
Reference numbers and online tracking are not available yet. They will be offered here when the online complaint system opens.
Acknowledgement
The Consumer Protection (E-Commerce) Rules, 2020 (rules 4 and 5) require an e-commerce entity to appoint a grievance officer, to display the officer’s name, designation and contact details, to acknowledge a consumer complaint within 48 hours and to resolve it within one month, and to give a ticket number with which the complaint can be tracked. To the extent that Zappmit acts as an intermediary, the Information Technology (Intermediary Guidelines and Digital Media Ethics Code) Rules, 2021, as amended, set shorter periods for some complaints. These are the legal standards, stated as law.
Because the online system is not open, no automated acknowledgement is sent yet. Zappmit has not published its own acknowledgement or resolution times. The legal standards above are the ones that apply, and counsel is to confirm exactly how they apply to Zappmit before any specific time is promised.
Resolution process
The Officer reviews a complaint received by email against the order or account concerned and replies to you at the address you wrote from.
Escalation
If you disagree with a decision, write to the Officer at the address above and give your reason.
Other routes open to you
This process does not replace or delay your legal rights. As a consumer you can go to the National Consumer Helpline, or file a complaint with the Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission that has jurisdiction, including online through the e-Daakhil portal. For a food-safety matter you can approach the State Food Safety authority. From 13 May 2027 you will also be able to complain to the Data Protection Board of India about personal data, once you have used our process first.
